Arabian Mahalabia

Cooked by Saji

Requirements :

  • Milk 1 litre
  • Corn flour (5 to 6 tbsp)
  • Rosewater
  • Sugar as required ( I used 7 to 8 tbsp)
  • Badam Pista for garnishing

Procedure :

  • Take 3/4th of litre milk and add sugar then bring it to boil.
  • While boiling add corn starch which is made of mixing 1/4th of litre milk with cornflour...
  • Milk will come to a thicker consistency... Turn off the flame and add rose water. But keep on stirring from the begin to end.
  • After the milk has come to room temperature pour it in glass n refrigerate it for 5 hrs covering the glass with lids.
  • Garnish it and enjoy.

Tips :
  • For additional taste as per your desire, U can add the cinnamon powder as required to the milk.
  • Also, you can pour colorful syrup as a second layer over the first by simply bringing it (maybe rose syrup) with some water for boil. When it comes to a thicker consistency as same as the milk, you can pour it over it after refrigerating the first layer for 4 to 5 hrs and the second one for 2 more hrs.
